I've been to Spicer several times now for various events throughout the year. It's a beautiful place to visit all year round to get out of Morris. I first came here during the summer, which I remember playing beach volleyball with some youth/college age adults visiting from the Twin Cities. I was with my Morris friends (Juan and Cory).

This past weekend (January 21st of 2006), I went to check out their annual Winterfest. I've been been meaning to come here during this time, but my schedule always conflicts with this event. This year, I was able to check it out; however, I came in a bad year as the weather was too warm. Thus, they didn't build their winter ice castle they are known for each year.
Instead, they built a large mound of snow to make a slide for kids or all ages to slide on...
